A local firm has been swamped with enquiries from SMEs wanting to claim back thousands of pounds in corporation tax through the Government’s R&D tax scheme. Mark Evans who runs Tildesley & Tonks accountants in Pendeford Business Park saw a niche in the market to help businesses access government grants and tax refunds. He set up R&D Tax and Grants in January 2009 with Brendan Molloy, a specialist in tax reclaims, offering a no win, no fee service. R&D tax recovery is a government backed initiative and was introduced in 2000 to encourage SMEs to develop their products and processes. It allows them to claim corporation tax refund on all R&D activities which includes making bespoke products, making environmental improvements, innovation, health & safety changes and developing in-house software. The company needed to contact the hundreds of Black Country SMEs who could be eligible for tax refunds. They knew it would be difficult to put the R&D concept across in a short phone call, so asked Wolverhampton based DJR Marketing Solutions to undertake an initial 12 week telemarketing campaign. DJR Marketing is one of the UK’s leading telemarketing companies. Daniel Reilly, managing director, said: “We developed a specific telemarketing campaign incorporating regular feedback so the process could be refined to generate qualified interest in the R&D tax recovery scheme.” Mark Evans said: “We’ve been really pleased with the amount of interest generated and in a very short period will have helped companies realise over £200,000 in tax refunds. We’ve signed up for another campaign as DJR Marketing have proved they can generate a high number of qualified leads.” Contact: Mark Evans, 0845 6783660 http://www.taxandgrants.co.uk Daniel Reilly, 01902 716869 http://www.djrmarketing.co.uk |
